USES 

Hind Crystal Seal protects concrete and mortar making it 100% waterproof. It improves the adhesion between top coat and concrete or mortar. It is used for waterproofing of water reservoir, water tower, tunnels, dams, canals, concrete pipes, water treatment plant, sea wall, bridges and decks etc.

ADVANTAGES 

  • 1. Ready for use only by mixing with water.
  • 2. Can be applied on damp concrete surface with no standing water.
  • 3. Non-toxic and can be applied on Concrete storage tank used for potable water.
  • 4. Cost effective waterproofing system.
  • 5. The crystallization reaction between Hind Crystal Seal with free lime and Calcium hydroxide in cement will form crystal to fully block the capillary in the concrete and mortar. It gives a total and permanent waterproofing to concrete structures in the presence of moisture.
  • 6. Can be applied to both positive and negative side protection of water retaining and underground structures.

APPLICATION

It has to be ensured before application that all concrete and mortar surfaces are clean free from dust, laitance, oil and grease. The surfaces to be pre-wetted, so that it is completely saturated. Hind Crystal Seal is to be applied on damp surfaces and there should be no standing water. Hind Crystal Seal 10kg (One bag) is to be mixed with 3-3.5 Litre of clean water for 3 (three) minutes using a slow speed mechanical mixer (60 rpm) until a uniform homogenous mix is obtained. Use brush or roller for application. We recommend 2 coats to be applied in interval of 3-4 hours to give better results. Hind Crystal Seal is a cementitious based products, and the treated surface with Hind Crystal Seal is to be properly cured by covering it with damp cover or moist curing for at least 5-7 days. Hind Crystal Seal can be applied immediately on new concrete surface as soon as the formwork has been removed.

CRYSTALLINE INTREGRAL WATERPROOFING ADDITIVE FOR CONCRETE AND MORTAR

DESCRIPTION

Hind Crystal Seal (I) is an unique formulation of crystalline powder additive for concrete & mortar. The active chemicals in the compound reacts with the moisture in fresh concrete and  by products of cement hydration resulting to catalytic reaction to yield non-soluble crystalline formation sealing the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete permanently and also prevents ingress of water and other liquids from all direction. It conforms to IS: 2645-2003 & ACI 212.3R – 10.

USES

 Hind Crystal Seal (I) protects concrete making it 100% waterproof. It is used for waterproofing of water reservoir, basements, foundations, water tower, tunnels, subways, swimming pools, parking lot, dams, canals, concrete pipes, water treatment plant, sea wall, bridges, decks and any concrete mix requiring waterproofing.

 APPLICATION

 Hind Crystal Seal (I) should be added to concrete at the time of batching subject to the various type of the batching plant and operation. The following process is recommended for best results. After batching of Coarse aggregates, Fine aggregate, Cement and mineral admixture, Hind Crystal Seal (I) is sprinkled and dry mixing is carried out to get an uniform dry mixture. Finally gauging water with plasticizer is added and mixing is continued to get even consistency of the mix. Hind Crystal Seal (I)  should not be added to gauging water and it is not recommended.

It is always advisable to carry out trial mixes to produce concrete and properties such as workability, setting time and compressive strength is achieved as per requirement. In hot weather conditions, addition of Hind Crystal Seal (I) into concrete accelerates the setting time of concrete. Curing to be carried out as per standard practice for concrete produced by addition of  Hind Crystal Seal (I) .

USES

It is used to stop running water and seepage through concrete and masonry walls, dams etc.

ADVANTAGES

APPLICATION

Chisel the masonry around the crack to a width & depth not less than 25 mm. The hole should be wider within the wall than at the surface. Mix Hind Plug S in the ratio of 0.28 to 0.33 (Water/powder ratio). Force the material into the crack when heat generation is felt. Hold tightly with hand for 3 minutes, wearing rubber hand gloves.

  • 5. Damp proof course of residential building, basement and silos.
  • 6. Most versatile for waterproofing of structures such as tunnels, basements, culverts, water-tanks, canals, swimming pools etc

 ADVANTAGES

  • 1. Total waterproofing of concrete is obtained against water pressure.
  • 2. Helps in complete crystallization of cement particles.
  • 3. Concrete is protected from weak solution of acids/chemicals.
  • 4. Eliminates/reduces dampness from plastered surface.
  • 5. Eliminates/reduces fungal growth, sweating, efflorescence, salt petre action on the plastered surface.

 APPLICATION

  1. Plastering
  • a) Hind Proof No.1 to be diluted with clean fresh water. The proportion of mixing is 1:12-16, i.e. 1 part of Hind Proof No.1: 12 to 16 part water.
  • b) After mixing (as stated above) the water is to be stirred uniformly and thoroughly so that the whole of Hind Proof No.1 is dissolved in the solution.
  • c) The solution to be added to dry mix of cement and sand mortar.
  • d) 1 to 1.5 kg of Hind Proof No.1 to be dissolved in 12-16 Litre of water and added for a mix of one bag(50Kg) of cement mortar and the balance water must be added separately to get the desired consistency.
  • e) Hind Proof No-1 is added per bag of cement depending on the mix proportion. Normally

              1.5 kg per bag of cement is added for mix proportion of 1: 6 or leaner mix and 1kg per

per bag of cement is added for mixed proportion of 1: 4 or richer mix.

  • f) The quantity of Hind Plast No.1 per bag of cement depends upon the mix proportion.

2. Concreting

  • a) The solution to be made as mentioned in application of the product.
  • b) Aggregate, sand and cement is added in the mixer and mixed thoroughly in dry condition and subsequently the solution is added gradually to get the desired workability. Do not add any extra water so that the W/C ratio remains unchanged from that as specified.
  • c) 1 Kg. Hind Proof No.1 per bag of cement to be added if cement content is 350 Kg/m3 and  1.5 Kg per bag of cement to be added for concrete with cement content less than 350 Kg/m3.

IMPORTANT

Water should not be added to make the mortar/concrete workable if it gets dried up or the use of the same is delayed.

USES 

Hind Proof No-2 is an excellent time tested liquid admixture for emergency/immediate repair work. Instant leak plugging and quick fixing of nozzle. It is widely used as a plugging compound for basements, pipe joins, retaining walls, tunnels and sewage works, where water is pouring under pressure.

  • 1. Excellent quality plugging compound-consistent performance.
  • 2. High early strength- plugging is completed within 5 minutes.
  • 3. Simple application
  • 4. Excellent adhesion

APPLICATION 

Cut back the opening of leaking hole to form concave shape tapering to a narrow mouth at the entrance, place the gelled cement mass into the hole and keep the pressure on for 4 to 5 minutes.

USES 

Hind Proof No-3 can be used in Tunnels, Basement, and Emergency Repair and to stop ingress of water through structures in Swimming Pool, Water treatment plant, reservoir etc. It is also used for any emergency repair during short duration of shutdown. For sealing leaking joints Hind Proof No-3 is very useful.

ADVANTAGES

  • 1. An easy to use multipurpose concrete additive.
  • 2. A very useful product for Pre-cast Industries where early demoulding is required.
  • 3. Very useful for emergency repair in factories during shutdown.
  • 4. It is a highly useful product for stoppage of water ingress through underground structures.
  • 5. In cold weather concreting, it is very useful to set concrete or mortar in sub-zero temperatures.
  • 6. For early stripping of shutters to expedite construction work.
  • 7. Sealing joints in masonry, cracks / joints in tunnels etc.
  • 8. Very useful for concrete work during interval of High & Low tide when the time is very short for the concrete to set.

APPLICATION 

Hind Proof No-3 is to be diluted with water in the ratio 1:1 to 1:2. Before addition of diluted Hind Proof No-3, sand, aggregate & cement are to be mixed properly in dry condition and then the Hind Proof No-3 solution is to be added at last and then mixed quickly, so as to avoid stiffening during mixing. For stopping minor leakages and dampness neat cement and Hind Proof No-3 solution are mixed thoroughly to form putty like consistency and applied on the surface immediately.
